Eve was born in London England the daughter of the actors Trevor Eve and Sharon Maughan. Jack as well as George are her twin brothers. They were raised in both London in United Kingdom as well as Los Angeles. She attended Bedales School, and took A-Levels in London's Westminster School. While in her gap year, she was a student at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and then studied English in St Catherine's College Oxford. The actress was born into an ethnically diverse family with an Indo British dad Anthony Mitra of British descent as well as an Irish-born Irish mom Nora Downey. Mitra is the middle kid of a family with multiple races. Her older brother Jason Mitra, and her younger brother Guyan Mitra, are all English actors. Her older brother is a well-known travel journalist whose writings have appeared on Lonely Planet and The Sunday Times.
